Managing Director

As Managing Director of Leighton Contractors, David Jurd is leading the development of the company as a global leader in construction.

David has almost 30 years of experience as a Civil Engineer in Australia and the United Kingdom.

This has included the delivery of some of Australia’s most important infrastructure projects and a range of senior executive positions.

David commenced with Leighton Contractors in 2013 as Executive General Manager of the Infrastructure Division, leading four regional infrastructure businesses, national Rail and Ports and Marine businesses and our subsidiary Broad.

Prior to joining Leighton Contractors, David was Managing Director of Abigroup. He led key projects, including Sydney’s M2 Motorway and the $1.6b M7 Motorway, which at the time of delivery was Australia’s largest single infrastructure project.

Peter Hicks

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Hicks is the Chief Financial Officer. He leads a portfolio of the company’s key Group Services, including Finance, Legal, Business Services, Risk and Pre-contracts, Infrastructure Investment and PPP Services.

Peter joined Leighton Contractors in 2000 and has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team since 2008. He has more than 25 years of experience developing, managing and operating infrastructure in Australia.

As Executive General Manager Investment and Facility Management, Peter led all of Leighton Contractors’ PPP bids since 2000, including the Defence HQ Joint Operations Command near Canberra, the North South Bypass Tunnel in Brisbane, the M7 Motorway in Sydney, the Aspire Schools in Queensland and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Peter is Chairman and board member of Aspire Schools and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital SPV companies, and a board member of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and several not for profit boards. Peter is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Jane Sherlock

Jane Sherlock

Executive General Manager, People

Jane is the Executive General Manager, People, leading the key functional support areas of People & Capability; Indigenous Business & Strategy and Community Investment; Safety, Health & Environment; and Corporate Affairs & Communication. In living and supporting our value that ‘our people are the foundation of our success’, Jane’s primary and ongoing focus is leadership engagement, aligning our people and business strategies, and driving organisational and cultural change.

Jane’s career spans more than 20 years in the banking and finance, construction/infrastructure, IT and outsourcing sectors. During that time, she has worked in roles with an increasingly strategic remit, leading HR teams and functions at both Group and corporate levels, and with national and Asia-Pacific scope.

Prior to joining Leighton Contractors, Jane had early career roles in sales (Yellow Pages) and operational HR (banking, construction, engineering and retail). She then moved into director and executive level roles in HR with Avco, General Electric (GE) and Unisys, with a focus on aligning people strategy with business strategy.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Monash University, and qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).

Graeme Dunn

Graeme Dunn

Executive General Manager, Energy

Graeme Dunn is the Executive General Manager of the Energy Division, bringing with him more than 20 years experience in heavy civil engineering, infrastructure and building projects.

Graeme’s strong technical knowledge coupled with extensive executive management experience has seen him hold positions in New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Since 2005, Graeme has worked extensively for the Middle Eastern operations of Leighton Holdings, overseeing significant expansion and diversification in a variety of roles.

In 2011 he relocated to Western Australia as General Manager of Leighton Contractors’ Western Region Construction. Since this period, Graeme has been instrumental in the continued expansion of LCPL’s capability within the oil and gas field and was appointed the Executive General Manager to lead the new Energy Division in 2013.

Mr Dunn has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland (Australia).
