As Managing Director of Leighton Contractors, Craig Laslett leads a diverse company of over 14,000 employees delivering hundreds of projects across a broad range of sectors and wide geographical areas.

Craig is the leading example of the opportunities for people within Leighton Contractors, having started with the company as a site engineer in 1983. A civil engineer, Craig has worked in most sectors and regions in which the company operates, including major projects such as the Spencer Street Station in Melbourne and the Inner City Bypass in Brisbane.

Before becoming Managing Director, he led the company’s Resources Division at a time of significant growth in the company’s mining operations.

Craig is a passionate and focused leader who places a high priority on the development of the company’s people. Craig is committed to further building the success of Leighton Contractors around its core values.

Peter Hicks

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Hicks is the Chief Financial Officer. He leads a portfolio of the company’s key Group Services, including Finance, Legal, Business Services, Risk and Pre-contracts, Infrastructure Investment and PPP Services.

Peter joined Leighton Contractors in 2000 and has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team since 2008. He has more than 25 years of experience developing, managing and operating infrastructure in Australia.

As Executive General Manager Investment and Facility Management, Peter led all of Leighton Contractors’ PPP bids since 2000, including the Defence HQ Joint Operations Command near Canberra, the North South Bypass Tunnel in Brisbane, the M7 Motorway in Sydney, the Aspire Schools in Queensland and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Peter is Chairman and board member of Aspire Schools and the new Royal Adelaide Hospital SPV companies, and a board member of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and several not for profit boards. Peter is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Executive General Manager, People

Jane is the Executive General Manager, People, leading the key functional support areas of People & Capability; Indigenous Business & Strategy and Community Investment; Safety, Health & Environment; and Corporate Affairs & Communication. In living and supporting our value that ‘our people are the foundation of our success’, Jane’s primary and ongoing focus is leadership engagement, aligning our people and business strategies, and driving organisational and cultural change.

Jane’s career spans more than 20 years in the banking and finance, construction/infrastructure, IT and outsourcing sectors. During that time, she has worked in roles with an increasingly strategic remit, leading HR teams and functions at both Group and corporate levels, and with national and Asia-Pacific scope.

Prior to joining Leighton Contractors, Jane had early career roles in sales (Yellow Pages) and operational HR (banking, construction, engineering and retail). She then moved into director and executive level roles in HR with Avco, General Electric (GE) and Unisys, with a focus on aligning people strategy with business strategy.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Monash University, and qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).

Graeme Dunn

Graeme Dunn

Executive General Manager, Energy

Graeme Dunn is the Executive General Manager of the Energy Division, bringing with him more than 20 years experience in heavy civil engineering, infrastructure and building projects.

Graeme’s strong technical knowledge coupled with extensive executive management experience has seen him hold positions in New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Since 2005, Graeme has worked extensively for the Middle Eastern operations of Leighton Holdings, overseeing significant expansion and diversification in a variety of roles.

In 2011 he relocated to Western Australia as General Manager of Leighton Contractors’ Western Region Construction. Since this period, Graeme has been instrumental in the continued expansion of LCPL’s capability within the oil and gas field and was appointed the Executive General Manager to lead the new Energy Division in 2013.

Mr Dunn has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland (Australia).

A University of Newcastle graduate and civil engineer with nearly 30 years of experience, David has worked in the United Kingdom and Australia, leading the delivery of some of this country’s most important infrastructure projects.

As Executive General Manager of the Infrastructure Division, David has oversight of our regional infrastructure businesses, including our Rail and Ports & Marine businesses and subsidiaries Broad and Ngarda.

Prior to joining Leighton Contractors, David was Managing Director of Abigroup. With Abigroup he led numerous key projects including Sydney’s M2 Motorway and Pacific Highway Upgrade work at Yelgun to Chinderah, and the $1.6 billion M7 Motorway which at the time of delivery was Australia’s largest single infrastructure project.

Steven Keyser

Executive General Manager, Mining

Steven Keyser leads Australia’s most successful mining operations, overseeing around 3,422 people across a diverse range of challenging and often remote project sites. With a focus on ensuring sustainable growth, Steven is committed to streamlining and enhancing the capabilities of the Leighton Contractors Mining Division and strengthening its long-term relationships with clients in this key Australian business sector.

Steven joined Leighton Contractors in 2002 and brings to his position more than 26 years experience in mining operation, design, construction and maintenance across the coal, base metals, minerals, oil and gas and chemical industries. His commitment to developing people, achieving safety performance and delivering results is fundamental to ensuring the Mining Division continues to provide superior value to clients, remains innovative and delivers on future industry needs.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Swinburne Institute of Technology Melbourne.

Michael Metcalfe

With over 25 years experience at Leighton Contractors, Mike is the Executive General Manager, Services.

Mike’s focus is establishing Leighton Contractors’ Services Division as the major provider of operations and maintenance services of key infrastructure assets across a range of sectors including transport, education, health, commercial, mining and energy.

He also oversees our specialist company Visionstream, one of Australia’s leading providers of Information and Communications Technology services.

Mike began his career with Leighton Contractors in Queensland in 1988, thereafter rising through the company holding various senior project and management positions.

Mike has an Honours degree in Civil Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and is a noted sportsman having become a world champion sailor at the age of 21 years and Australian lure fishing champion in 2006.
