SH&E Leadership Program
Safety and health is one of our core values and is prioritised above all else. Our leaders demonstrate commitment to safety by conducting regularly scheduled site visits during the year focusing specifically on safety management
Arrive Alive After 5
This safety program enabled Visionstream, LSE and Nextgen to reach out to the families of employees and contractors in a bid to ensure everyone gets home safely each day. The program included a children’s drawing competition of ‘My Mum/Dad working safely’, with the drawings used on a calendar.
SH&E Leadership Summits
Held twice each year, Leighton Contractors’ SH&E Summits are attended by our senior leaders, SH&E Managers and various Operations Managers across the business. During these summits our people discuss best practice issues, new initiatives and benchmark current practice against industry standards. Last year the summit examined safety management in the process industry which included a site visit to an oil refinery to discuss industry and operational challenges, gain knowledge and share ideas for improving safety in the industries in which we operate.
